Very clean room, looked brand new, and felt comfortable. Walking distance to a few restaurants. Honestly, it's one of the nicest stays I've had in a while, that's coming from a Hilton/Marriott guy. If they had one of these in every city, it would be my new choice.

We loved this place. Simple but clean rooms with a kitchenette that looked recently upgraded. The beds are good and the sheets felt really nice. The service was excellent. It's a family run operation which made us feel more connected to the community than in a typical hotel chain. The river is across the street and there's great riverside walking right there. We're hoping to return to Port Alberni and I would definitely stay here again.
We've stayed here for 3 years in a row with our dog and have an amazing stay every time! The front desk lady was so kind and friendly, I wish I got her name! The rooms are spacious and exceptionally clean! It's quiet and safe and it feels very homey! We will continue to come back every year.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (more if I could) I rarely write reviews, but my experience at the Riverside Motel deserves recognition. We've been returning here for four years, and this year was particularly memorable. We usually stay in the cottages, but due to a last-minute request from another party wanting to extend their stay, we were offered two separate rooms instead. Initially, I was hesitant to switch since we had four adults, and sharing beds wasn’t ideal. However, when we arrived, we found ourselves in two spacious rooms with two queen beds in each, complete with showers and TVs. The level of comfort exceeded our expectations! Having stayed in various suites, I can confidently say that these rooms are exceptionally clean, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. The little kitchenette was a nice touch too. We always look forward to our fishing trips here, especially since the motel is just five minutes from the marina. A huge thank you to the staff and management for making our stay so enjoyable. We had a great time with our stepfather, father-in-law, and brother, and we can't wait for our next visit! Absolutely charming! Comfortable, spacious and extremely clean rooms . Feels like a very well run mom and pop business, they clearly take pride in ownership. Grateful to have found this place after a terrifying drive in a snowstorm had me stranded in Port Alberni for the night.
Stayed 2 nights over Canada long weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed the motel experience. VERY CLEAN! Appears to be all newly renovated. There's an outdoor seating area with picnic table and BBQ. Pet friendly. Immaculate rooms, top-notch housekeeping, comfortable beds and pillows. The room had its own A/C unit and a kitchenette with everything you need. We would stay here again for sure
